Surviving the Holidays
Bittersweet memories. Loss of traditions. An empty seat at the table. The holiday season can trigger sadness and despair for people grieving a loss. Join us for a 2-hour event called Surviving the Holidays, where we talk about how to deal with grief around the holiday season:
Morrisville UMC, 501 W. Maple Ave. December 13th at 7 PM.
IFA Angel Tree
The Family Backpack Center has about 140 registered children and the IFA would like each child to receive 2 gifts. We hope that MUMC will provide gifts for 20 children (total of 40 gifts). Each gift should be of a $25 value so that there are no hard feelings among siblings on Christmas!
If you would like to purchase and wrap one or two gifts
(approximate value $25.00 EACH) for a local child, starting on Sun.
Nov. 14, please take a tag from the Angel Tree in the Lounge AND sign out your tag(s) on the clip board next to the tree. Or you can call Rhonda Rea [215-493-9505] or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know which child/tag you have chosen.
Wrapped gifts (with the tag including Name and Family
number that will you take from the tree) will need to be returned to
the church OR my home (241 Greenview Rd., Yardley) by Wed.
December 7. If you are not able to shop, but would like to contribute
financially, Rhonda will be glad to shop for you!
